Wallingford Church Choir
Wallingford Parish Church Choir, directed by Sue Huntingford-Ledger, is a thriving choir which sings services at St. Mary’s and St. Leonard’s Churches in Wallingford. It is over 60 strong, including 23 juniors (from 6 to 18 years). The choir visits cathedrals during the summer to sing services, and most recently sang at (amongst others) Lichfield Cathedral, Classic FM Live, services at Canterbury Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and St Paul's Cathedral . The Juniors rehearse from 7.15 pm to 7.45 pm (with the older Juniors staying until 8.30 pm) on Friday evenings at St Mary's and the adults begin at 8pm (and stay till 9.30 pm). For full details see the Wallingford Church Choir page. As a result of Decca Record's search to find Britain's Best Parish Choir we've recorded The Hymns Album of the nation's best-loved hymns, available in shops, online, and for digital download.
Dear Wally SIngers and loyal supporters,
After 15 amazing years I have decided that the Singers will close after our end of term jolly on March 23rd. We have had a great time over the years but the wide world beckons in our campervan Ruby (though the Church Choir will remain my day job).
Thank you for all your love and support over the years.
We hope to see you at the jolly on March 23rd at 8pm ,when we will be raising money for the Corn Exchange Roof Appeal (which is where we are if not at Church)
